  The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were there for our 35th anniversary and they had a bottle of champagne chilled and waiting in our upgraded room. The breakfasts they offered with the room were varied and very good. The hotel was quiet when we visited, even with the excellent location.

  There are no elevators, which we did know before hand, and we chose the attic room for it's ambience. Though my husband knew this and was willing to do the stairs, because of recent health problems, the steps were difficult.

  The convenience and the sheer comfort of a suite that includes a separate bedroom, kitchen and living room. Lots of closets, nice bathroom, relatively quiet place in downtown Ottawa. It's our home away from home whenever we are in Ottawa.

  Large rooms with kitchenette and convenient location. It was perfect for a long term stay (2+ weeks).

  They were doing room renovations so we had to pack up and change rooms mid-stay. It was annoying but understandable.

  It is a well maintained hotel at a very good location. Liked the one bedroom apartment with plenty of space and a kitchenette, and the free wi-fi.

  Very noisy; construction going on on the street, which was not mentioned on the hotels website at all. I specifically requested a quiet apartment, and got one directly above the street with the construction going on. I asked to be moved and was told that there is nothing that they can do, and also, that they have no note whatsoever of my request. There was no apology, or empathy of any kind from the staff. I was told that the workers don't start too early in the morning. Guess what ? The workers started at 6:50 A.M., with the terrible noise going on even over the weekend.

  This is my favourite hotel in Ottawa...rooms are comfortable and this one was recently updated with new furniture which was a nice and much needed change.

  Some beds can be somewhat uncomfortable and need updating, this most recent bed was definitely on the older and softer side.

  Very good experience: big space in the room, comfortable beds, perfectly cleaned. Fitness room good equipped.

  With an hotel of this type I would expect to have an included buffet breakfast. Unfortunately you have to go to a restaurant beside the hotel, where the buffet is not big.

  Great value. We were very pleasantly surprised when we opened the door at the size of the suite and the contemporary and tasteful decor. Beds were very comfortable with good quality linens. Kitchen was fully outfitted with lots of space.

  The bottom sheet, although a good quality, was not fitted so it easily came loose.

  Very roomy rooms! The "elephant size" suite is a true statement. We had 2 queen size beds, kitchen (full kitchen like at home), large bathroom, 2 large flat screen TV, clean carpets, quiet area with balcony. Would definetly return because of quality service and installations. Recommended for family, business travellers, friends on a shopping spree.

  The staff within the Albert at Bay Suite Hotel were superb. Whether asking the housekeeper for some extra decafe coffee or requesting an early chck-in and late check-out the customer service was always there. The very reasonably priced parking is very convienently located directly under the hotel with the elevator going up to your floor, no needless lobby transfer. For business reasons, my wife and I were in "The Sheraton" before our romantic weekend in the Albert at Bay Suite Hotel and went to "The Weston" on monday. Three hotels one weekend! The customer service in Albert at Bay Suite Hotel matched or exceeded that at the other two hotels. Without a doubt a terrific value for a huge space, right in downtown, practically on Sparks Street, minutes from the Parliament Buildings and the rest of Ottawa's sights. There is one hotel on our list of places to return to in Ottawa - Albert at Bay Suite Hotel!

  Too many parked vehicles are allowed to block the fire lane on friday and saturday nights.

  Very comfortable bed and great pillows...spacious accomodations

  The swipe card lock system for the door did not function and in the end I had to change rooms. On the second room, the lock was also problematic, so I am guessing that either their programming is malfunctioning or the actual locksets on the doors needed to be replaced. Because of this, everytime I would leave my room, I felt uncertain if I would be able to get in!

  Handy to have a kitchen!

  I did not like the fact that the boiler was not not working properly and I had a luke warm shower every morning with no apologies or compensation! Perhaps my movie which cost a staggering $17.00 could have been comped!!!!!
